WAPDA decides to build a new dam to store flood water

LAHORE: Water and Energy Distribution Authority (WAPDA) has determined to construct a brand new dam to retailer flood water.

Presiding over a gathering in Lahore, WAPDA Chairman Muzammil Hussain stated that WAPDA would assemble Rohtas Dam for efficient flood management and storage of flood water.

He stated that Rohtas Dam can be constructed 7 and a half kilometers south of Dina city in Jhelum district. 100 MW of low cost electrical energy may also be generated.

Chairman WAPDA stated that at current a number of water tasks are beneath development on which progress is passable.
