Vicky Pattison on falling for ‘broken men’ after watching her parents’ romance difficulties
Vicky Pattison has admitted she has always been attracted to ‘broken men’ after watching her parents’ rocky romance. The 29-year-old Geordie Shore star – who split from fiancé John Noble last month after two years together – has said she was ‘insecure’ and ‘wanted to fix’ men because of her own family background. Vicky, who is currently dating businessman Ercan Ramadan, said: ‘I’ve always fallen for the broken guys and I’ve always wanted to fix the broken guys.
‘I was insecure and wanted to fix them. I think it’s because I grew up with my dad battling alcoholism and my mum with depression. I was always looking for a shoulder to cry on.’ Since splitting from John, Vicky has found love with Ercan, who she has been dating for a number of months. She also revealed she is still on good terms with her ex, who she has known since she was 13, saying: ‘We’re still very good friends. He’s a part of my life and always will be.’
Vicky Pattison has revealed that she has fallen for ‘broken men’ in the past as she has grown up watching her parents’ relationship difficulties. The former Geordie Shore star said that she has previously found herself in relationships with men who suffer from mental health problems, alcohol issues and drug addictions because of the way she was brought up. Vicky, who is now engaged to Turkish DJ Ercan Ramadan,
has been in a relationship with him for two years and said that he is the first man she has ‘ever felt safe with’. She told The Sun: ‘I was always attracted to broken men because I grew up watching my mum with a broken man. ‘I’m drawn to people who need fixing and I have been attracted to broken men. I have been attracted to men who have mental health issues, alcohol issues, drug addiction. I have always been drawn to men who are a little bit broken. ‘I am attracted to people with a story because I have a story. I have been attracted to men who are a little bit broken because I am a little bit broken.’
