US decides to remove Yemeni Houthi rebels from terrorist list
There has been a major shift in US policy towards the Middle East. The new administration has decided to remove the Iranian-backed Yemeni Houthi organization from the list of terrorists.
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken says the United States is removing Houthi rebels from the list of foreign terrorists.
According to Anthony Blinken, the Houthis will be removed from the list on February 16.
He said the decision was made to ensure free access to aid to the people of war-torn Yemen.
The decision to declare the Houthis terrorists was made by the Trump administration just days before Biden took office.
