After weeks of negotiations, the U.S has finally signed an agreement with Australia to share their nuclear submarine technology in order to create a new alliance that could challenge China’s rise as one of Asia’s leading powers
The deal was announced just days after Chinese President Xi Jinping wrapped up an extensive state visit here–a trip which included talks over trade agreements and how best protect against cyber attacks from Beijing.”This is not only historic but imperative,” said Secretary Locke Sanders when asked by ABC about why this partnership matters so much now more than ever before.”What it means for America security-wise given recent events around our traditional allies being targeted digitally”, he added later on CNN
