Tropico 6 Getting Next Gen Upgrade

Kalypso Media is proud to announce the availability of a free upgrade for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of Tropico 6, bringing the game to the Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro. The free upgrade comes with multiple performance and UI improvements along with a number of visual improvements, including enhanced lighting and shadow effects, improved transitions between seasons and advanced options to customize the display settings.

Developer Limbic Entertainment has announced it will be releasing a major update for Tropico 6 on PlayStation®4 and Xbox One by the end of this month. The new version will be available as a free download for all owners of the game on PlayStation®4 and Xbox One. The “Next Gen” update will bring a range of new features to the game, which will be detailed in more detail in the coming weeks. In Tropico 6, players will take on the role of El Presidente in the most satirical entry in the series to date.

As the universally beloved leader, players will build a thriving tourist paradise or a seething police state, complete with their own personality cult. The choices made in the game will steer El Presidente’s fate, and ultimately decide if he goes down in history as a revered leader or a ruthless dictator.
