In Indian-occupied Kashmir, once again, the slogans of ‘Long live Pakistan’ were chanted by the Kashmiris.
After the Friday prayers, Kashmiris protested outside the Jama Masjid in Srinagar against the re-arrest of Hurriyat leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq. Kashmiris chanted slogans with pictures of Mirwaiz expressing their unconditional love for Pakistan.
The Indian army could not bear the echo of the slogans of “Long live Pakistan” and the protesters broke up. The Indian army also fired pellet guns which injured many Kashmiri youth.
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was supposed to offer funeral prayers at the ancient Jama Masjid in Srinagar but Kashmiris were enraged when he was detained. Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was released a few days ago after 20 months of detention.
