Tamatem raises $11M Series B led by PUBG maker Krafton

Tamatem, a startup that provides analytical insights to help video game publishers and developers boost user retention and revenue, said today that it has raised $11 million in a Series B funding round.

The round was led by China-based online game publisher, Tencent Games, which publishes the popular title PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. Other participants in the round included: JDD capital, K1 Investment Management, SIG and M Ventures. Based in San Francisco, Tamatem was founded by former Google employees, and has raised $22 million to date.

Tamatem, the world’s leading provider of real-time social analytics, is proud to announce that it has closed $11 million in Series B funding led by the venture capital arm of PUBG Corporation, the makers of PUBG.

Founded in 2014, Tamatem has grown rapidly and now has more than 5,000 paying customers including Tinder, Snapchat, Pinterest, EA, and Comcast. The company has been profitable since launching in 2016 and is experiencing triple-digit monthly growth.

Tamatem, a company that helps brands and publishers identify, attract and engage with the most active gaming communities on Twitch, has raised $11 million in new funding. The round is led by PUBG Corporation, the maker of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, which is one of the most popular games on Twitch. Existing investors Accel, Signia Ventures and ZhenFund also participated in the round. Tamatem was founded in 2016, but it’s just now starting to make some moves. In addition to today’s funding news, it also announced a new product and partnerships with both Twitch and PUBG.
