Summary of increase in prices of petroleum products rejected

Summary of increase in prices of petroleum products was rejected. Prices of petroleum products will remain at current levels.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has rejected OGRA’s summary on the issue of increase in prices of petroleum products. Current prices of petroleum products remain unchanged for the next 15 days. The government’s decision not to increase the prices of petroleum products was welcomed by the people.

It may be recalled that OGRA had proposed to increase the price of petrol by Rs6.22 and high speed diesel by Rs6.82. It was proposed to increase the price of light diesel by Rs 5.78 per liter. Kerosene was proposed to be increased by Rs6.37. However, the threat of a proposed price hike has now been averted after Prime Minister Imran Khan rejected OGRA’s proposal.
