September War Hero Vice Admiral (retd) Iqbal Fazal Qadir passed away
KARACHI: Hero of 1965 war and Ghazi Vice Admiral (retd) of Dwarka operation Iqbal Fazal Qadir passed away in Karachi.
A Pakistan Navy spokesman said he was commissioned in 1951 in the Pakistan Navy’s operations branch.
According to Pakistan Navy spokesman, Vice Admiral (retd) Iqbal Fazal Qadir Dwarka was commanding PNS Alamgir during the operation. In recognition of his services, he was awarded Hilal Imtiaz (Military) and Sitara Basalt.
Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi while paying homage to Vice Admiral Iqbal Fazal Qadir said that may Allah exalt the ranks of the deceased and grant patience to his family.
The Admiral said that the services of Vice Admiral Iqbal Fazal Qadir for national defense and security will always be remembered.
