Scrappy Sakkari survives gruelling three-setter to beat Andreescu

Scrappy Sakkari was forced to have a bit of every kind of tennis player in order to defeat Andreescu. However, she showed that her strong will and fighting spirit would not be overcome by the popular Canadian teenaged sensation. With this victory over an up-and-comer on center court at Wimbledon, Scrappy Sakkari has proved herself as one who is willing to do whatever it takes win no matter how long or hard it may seem.

Scrappy Sakkari struggled, clawed her way back from a set down to beat Canadian teen Bianca Andreescu 3-6 7-5 6-3 in the US Open third round on Sunday.
