Revenue was at its highest level in six months in December
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) achieved its highest level of revenue in December during the first six months of the fiscal year.
The FBR has released refunds of Rs 102 billion from July to December, while preliminary figures for revenue for the financial year July to December have also been released.
According to the FBR, net revenue of Rs. 2204 billion was achieved in the first half of the year, which is 5% more than the current net revenue of Rs. 2101 billion of the previous year.
According to the FBR, Rs 816 billion was collected from income tax, while revenue from sales tax was Rs 915 billion, federal excise duty was Rs 127 billion and customs duty was Rs 336 billion.
