Punjab: Notification issued banning celebrations inside wedding halls

LAHORE: The Punjab government has issued a notification banning celebrations inside wedding halls.

According to the notification issued by the Secretary Primary and Secondary Health Care, weddings and other celebrations will be allowed only in open space.

The notification said that a maximum of 300 people will be allowed to participate in the celebrations, while SOPs will also have to be implemented in open-air celebrations and face-covering will be required in public places besides the celebrations.

According to the notification, the ban on celebrations inside wedding halls will be effective from November 20 to January 31.
