The Prime Minister will take a vote of confidence from the National Assembly today. Coalition and government members of the National Assembly have expressed confidence in the Prime Minister.

ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister will take a vote of confidence from the National Assembly today. Coalition and government members have expressed confidence in the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister has invited all the members for breakfast. Pervez Khattak will also brief the members.

In the National Assembly, there is a difference of only 21 votes between the government and opposition parties. The number of PTI and coalition members is 181. The parties in the PDM and like-minded parties have a strength of 160 members. 172 votes are required to keep.

Prime Minister Imran Khan wrote a letter to the PTI assembly members informing them about the rules regarding voting, stating that no member would be allowed to enter the assembly hall after 12:15 p.m. Accordingly, all members must ensure attendance for the vote of confidence.

In case of non-attendance, disqualification proceedings may be initiated against the member. A declaration on violation of party directive may be submitted to the Election Commission. Action will be taken against the absent member under Article 63 of the Constitution.
