President Trump has finally approved the transfer of power to the Biden administration
ending weeks of procrastination by the US president.
A letter written by Emily Murphy, head of the General Service Administration, yesterday informed US President-elect Joe Biden that the Trump administration is ready to begin the process of formal transfer of power.
Following a letter from Emily Murphy, the Biden administration will now be able to use millions of dollars in government funding to form a government.
This is the first step in acknowledging the defeat of President Donald Trump, almost two weeks after the Democratic candidate Joe Biden was declared the winner of the US presidential election.
According to the letter from Emily Murphy, Head of General Administration, the decision was made without any pressure or fear, taking into account the law and the available facts.
“I was not under any direct or indirect pressure from White House executives or GSA officials behind this decision, and it is important to clarify that my decision,” Murphy said. I was not instructed by anyone to delay.
US President-elect Joe Biden has welcomed a peaceful transfer of power.
On the other hand, President Trump has said that the legal battle will continue but he has asked the administration to do what is needed.
Following President Trump’s approval, US TV says the letter is the first step in acknowledging President Trump’s defeat.
According to US TV, President Trump has taken this step at a time when even the major state of Michigan has confirmed Biden’s victory, while Donald Trump tried to prevent the result but it did not happen.
