A pop-up mini golf course is coming to downtown Roanoke.
A temporary 18 hole miniature golf course will be created in early May and remain open through the end of September, said owner Luke Ghassemi. The Pop Up Mini Golf Company creates these courses for festivals around North America, he added.
In a few weeks, downtown Roanoke will be the site of miniature golfing at Pop-up Mini Golf.
Miniature versions of real life experiences are growing in popularity across North America and Europe including mini bowling alleys, boat tours for little kids on bodies of water near big cities like London or Paris, ice skating rinks that pop up over winter months to name a few activities. This trend is coming soon to Central Virginia with an opening planned by this spring in one block off Main Street next door to Dixie Donuts where visitors can enjoy 18 holes worth instead 30 seconds each while wearing silly costumes if they choose which may appeal especially children who get so much enjoyment from dressing up as adults doing things their parents do such as m
