Pakistan Army helicopter crashes, killing 4, including 2 majors
A Pakistan Army spokesman said that a helicopter used by the Pakistan Army crashed near Mani Marg area due to technical fault.
According to a statement issued by the Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), a Pakistan Army helicopter crashed in the Mani Marg area of Gilgit-Baltistan due to a malfunction.
According to ISPR, the helicopter crash occurred while transporting the body of martyred soldier Abdul Qadir to Khaki Skardu.
According to the public relations department, pilot Major Muhammad Hussain, co-pilot Major Ayaz Hussain, Naik Inzamam Alam and soldier Muhammad Farooq were martyred in the accident.
According to ISPR, the pilot Major Ayaz Hussain belonged to Khablu area of Skardu while he was residing in Malir area of Karachi.
A Pakistan Army spokesman said Naik Inzamam Alam was a resident of Chakwal district in Punjab and soldier Farooq was a resident of Sahiwal in Punjab.
