Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is Adding Garfield to the Roster

The best-known of the big bads from the upcoming Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl game will be a chubby orange tabby cat. Garfield, the comic strip cat created by Jim Davis, is coming to the Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl game, according to a report by ComicBook.com. Garfield will be joining the ranks of other Nicktoons characters like SpongeBob SquarePants and Danny Phantom.
The news was first announced in a Facebook video posted by the game’s official page. In the video, a voice over says, “It’s me, Garfield!” The voice is Garfield’s, of course, as the comic strip cat has been speaking to readers this way for years.
Nickelodeon and Nerdist Industries announced that Garfield, the lasagna-loving, Mondays-hating cat, will be joining the roster of the upcoming video game, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, to be released this summer on Nintendo Switch. Garfield is the latest character to join the roster, joining other beloved characters from the Nickelodeon universe, including SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Dora the Explorer. Garfield will have his own special abilities, including the ability to pull out his claws to attack, and a special move to make him temporarily invulnerable.
