Next Sonic Game Confirmed for The Game Awards

The award show dedicated to honoring the best and biggest games of the year has announced that the next Sonic game will be revealed at The Game Awards on December 7th. Rumors have been circulating for a few weeks now that the next Sonic game would be revealed at the end of this month or the beginning of next month at the The Game Awards.

It’s been about two years since Sega released Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric for the Wii U. Since then, the franchise has been quiet, but that’s ending soon. During The Game Awards 2015, it was confirmed that the next Sonic game will be coming to consoles and PC next year. The game is a sequel to 2014’s Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal for the 3DS. The sequel is titled Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice and will be released in the Spring of 2016.
