Newly elected US President Joe Biden has chosen his secretary of state

Washington: US President-elect Joe Biden has elected Anthony Blanken as Secretary of State.

According to the British media, Anthony Blanken has held a senior position in the Foreign Office and is known for his compliance with international agreements.

Anthony Blanken has served as Deputy Secretary of State and Deputy National Security Adviser during the Obama administration.

He has also served as National Security Adviser to then-Vice President Joe Biden.
