NEPRA has issued a notification to reduce the price of electricity and also reduced the power unit for industrial consumers.

A notification has been issued to reduce the price of electricity and the rates of electricity for industrial consumers have been reduced by Rs4.96 per unit.

According to NEPRA, the price of electricity for industrial consumers has been reduced from Rs 12.96 to Rs 8 per unit. The discounted package for industrial consumers will be for 8 months.

NEPRA has said that reduction in electricity tariffs will be applicable from November 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021. NEPRA clarified that the discount package will be applicable to industrial consumers across the country including Karachi and 8 months fuel price adjustment on industrial consumers under the relief package.
