NAB’s appeal to include Shahbaz Sharif’s name in ECL fixed for hearing

An appeal filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for inclusion of opposition leader Shahbaz Sharif in the ECL has been fixed for hearing.

The NAB had included Shahbaz Sharif’s name in the ECL in the case of assets in excess of income, but on the order of the Lahore High Court, Shahbaz Sharif’s name was removed from the ECL.

The NAB had challenged the decision of the Lahore High Court in the Supreme Court to include Shahbaz Sharif’s name in the ECL.

Now the Supreme Court has fixed the NAB’s appeal for hearing and a bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Mushir Alam will hear the appeal on October 27.
