MQM decides to fight Senate elections with allies

There was no rift in the alliance with the federation. The PPP’s offer did not impress the MQM. The United States has decided to fight the Senate election with its allies.

The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has once again become important for the Senate elections. The government and the opposition are circling Bahadurabad to get the votes of Muttahida. PPP wants MQM National Assembly members to vote for Yousuf Raza Gilani in the federation. In return, they are ready to give donations to MQM from Sindh.

On the other hand, the federal government is also trying to keep its ally with the party. He wants MQM members to vote for his candidate in the National Assembly, Hafeez Sheikh.

According to sources, MQM is not ready to trust PPP. The Coordinating Committee has decided to contest the Senate elections in Sindh together with the alliance of opposition parties.
