Mount Manga New Test: Fawad’s century in vain, defeating Pakistan
Fawad Alam’s century in the second innings of the first Test against New Zealand was in vain and Pakistan lost the match by 101 runs.
On the fifth day of the Mount Manga Noi Test, Pakistan started their second incomplete innings with Azhar Ali at 34 and Fawad Alam at 21.
Azhar Ali was dismissed for 38 after adding just four runs to his previous day’s score, but Fawad Alam stood firm in front of the Kiwi bowlers and was well supported by captain Mohammad Rizwan.
Fawad Alam scored a century in Test cricket 11 years later, the second century of his career. Fawad Alam’s century included 14 fours. Earlier, Fawad Alam had scored a century in his Test debut in 2009.
