Misbah-ul-Haq’s tenure as chief selector is over, who will get the post now?
Pakistan cricket team head coach Misbah-ul-Haq’s tenure as chief selector has ended.
Misbah-ul-Haq’s tenure as chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) selection committee expired on November 30 and he will now work with the Pakistan cricket team as a head coach.
According to sources, the national selection committee comprising provincial coaches has also been dissolved and for the future, the PCB has decided to form a new selection committee in the old style.
The new selection committee will consist of a chief selector and three members while the announcement of a new chief selector is expected next week for which former Test cricketer Muhammad Akram is a strong candidate.
It is to be noted that Pakistan cricket team is currently on a tour of New Zealand and head coach Misbah-ul-Haq is also with him.
