Kate Ferdinand says Christmas is ‘more special’ since meeting Rio and his children and reveals plans for how they will spend it with son Cree, one Kate Ferdinand has said that the arrival of her partner Rio’s daughter Laila, three, and son Tate, four, has made her Christmas ‘more special’ this year. The former TOWIE star said she was ‘over the moon’ that Rio had agreed to her request to meet his children and that they had a ‘really nice time’ as a family. She also revealed that the four of them were going to spend Christmas at her sister Billie’s house in Essex and that she had a ‘few surprises’ in store for them.

Rio Ferdinand’s wife Kate has said her first Christmas with the former footballer and his children was ‘more special’ since her husband’s reconciliation with the children’s mother and new wife. The couple, who married in 2015 after Rio proposed in the same Las Vegas hotel room where he first met Kate, have said they have big plans for Christmas this year as they get to know Rio’s children. Kate, 34, said: ‘I know it is going to be more special this year because I have got to know the children over the last few months and everything is just going to be a lot more exciting.

‘It is going to be fun with the kids and seeing all their little faces at Christmas time. It is going to be fun. ‘Rio is definitely a lot more relaxed and he is just Rio. I guess that is why I love him. He is just so chilled and he is just a really good dad, really hands on and he is really happy.’
