Karachi: Warrants issued against 5 accused for forcibly marrying a girl and converting to Islam
KARACHI: A court has issued non-bailable arrest warrants for five accused, including a husband, in a case of marriage to a minor girl and forcible conversion to Islam.
Judicial Magistrate Gharbi’s court heard a case of forcible conversion to Islam and marriage of underage Neha.
The court once again issued non-bailable arrest warrants for five other accused, including the one who married Neha, and ordered to arrest the accused and produce them in court by November 15.
The accused include Imran who forcibly married Neha while other accused include Rehan, Mufti Ahmed, Janan Rahimi, Mesmat Azra and his son.
It may be recalled that a case of abduction and rape of Neha was registered in Ittehad Town police station in 2019. Neha had refused to convert to Islam before the court while the age of the victim girl was also revealed to be 13 years at that time.
