JP Duminy called up as consultant to Proteas for T20 World Cup
South African cricket player JP Duminy has been called up as a temporary consultant to the Proteas. This is in preparation for South Africa’s participation at this year’s T20 World Cup, which takes place next month across India and Sri Lanka.
JP Duminy said that he was looking forward to spending time with his country’s national team again after being away from them since 2013 when they toured Australia together during their home series against England last December. He also added how happy he was about having an opportunity of working closely once more with AB de Villiers who currently serves as captain of all three formats- test matches, ODIs and Twenty 20 games – on behalf of Team SA.<br>Duminy told reporters
Cricketing legend JP Duminy was called up as a consultant to the South African men’s cricket team for this year’s T20 World Cup. He will be working alongside Proteas coach Ottis Gibson, who said that he believes that his expertise and knowledge of Twenty 20 International Cricket is going to help the national side prepare better before they hit England in May next week.
JP Duminy has been part of two world cup winning teams so far- once with West Indies back in 2012 where he became first cricketer from Africa continent ever selected at ICC Champions Trophy 2017 being held currently which starts on June 1st till 18th across venues Birmingham, London , Edgbaston & The Oval .
