US President-elect Joe Biden has called those who attacked the US Parliament local terrorists.
He said in a statement that the attack on the Congress building yesterday was the darkest day in the country’s history, and that President Trump had attacked democratic institutions.
Joe Biden said that Donald Trump tried to silence the voice of American voters, the country’s dignity, integrity and freedom needs to be restored.
Criticizing the police’s behavior, Joe Biden said that the police are soft on Trump supporters but tough on anti-racism protesters.
The president-elect said those involved in the Capitol Hill attack were local terrorists.
It is believed that the parliament was attacked by the supporters of US President Donald Trump on the occasion of the confirmation of Biden in the presidential election in the joint session of the Congress yesterday. Four people were also killed during the clash with the police.
