KARACHI: Pakistan’s legendary bowler Wasim Akram has credited legendary batsman Javed Miandad for joining the Pakistan team.

Born in Lahore on January 3, 1966, Wasim Akram started his international ODI career in 1984 against New Zealand in Faisalabad.

Wasim Akram is one of the greatest fast bowlers in the history of cricket. He was the first bowler to take 500 wickets in ODI cricket.

Azeem Baller shared a photo on social media and wrote that this was the moment when the 17-year-old was selected for Pakistan in Rawalpindi.

Wasim Akram credited the selection of the team to legendary batsman and former captain Javed Miandad and wrote, “If it were not for Javed Miandad, Wasim Akram would not be here.”
