Harry Styles CLAPS BACK At Candace Owens After Vogue Criticism
author Candace Owens for her comments about Harry’s dress on the cover of Vogue. In case you missed it, Harry Styles recently made history as the first-ever solo male to appear on the cover of US Vogue. And for this iconic moment Harry wore multiple looks mixing both men’s and women’s fashion pieces creating unique looks. On the cover Harry graced us all with this stunning Gucci gown and he’s honestly never looked better. But not everyone was here for this moment. Pro-Trump, far right author and political commentator Candace Owens
took to Twitter and called Harry out for wearing a dress demanding that we quote, “bring back manly men.” Candace doubled down on her controversial statements on Instagram shortly after she received backlash for her comments. She wrote “Men in ball gowns is not a thing.
Sorry I’m not sorry. Conservatives are done bending to the weird, perverted will of the left and their Hollywood cohorts.” Other far right political commentators like Ben Shaprio quickly followed in Candace’s footsteps saying that it isn’t masculine for men to wear dresses. And both celebs and fans were quick to defend Harry’s outfit choices to these extreme conservatives. But Harry himself hadn’t spoken out on the
matter until now. In a new interview with Variety, Harry said that he has absolutely no regrets about his outfit choices for his Vogue cover.
He said that he takes pride in the gender-agnostic portfolio and stands by his decision to wear a Gucci gown on the cover. Harry said quote, “To not wear something because it’s females’ clothing, you shut out a whole world of great clothes. And I think what’s exciting about right
now is you can wear what you like. It doesn’t have to be X or Y. Those lines are becoming more and more blurred.” Additionally, Harry took to Instagram and shared this photo and quoted Candace writing, “Bring back manly men.” And this isn’t the first time that Harry has spoken
out about this. Harry also reiterated a similar sentiment in the Vogue article saying, “I’ll go in shops sometimes, and I just find myself looking at the women’s clothes thinking they’re amazing. It’s like anything — anytime you’re putting barriers up in your own life, you’re just
limiting yourself. There’s so much joy to be had in playing with clothes.” And fans flooded Twitter here for Harry clapping back at Candace. One person wrote, “HARRY STYLES SHADING CANDACE OWENS IS EVERYTHING TO ME.” This fan chimed in saying “When Harry
Shaded Candace. Harry hits a home run against hate and wins 2020. #HarryStyles #CandaceOwens” And this Twitter user wrote, “THIS WAS THE BEST THING I’ve SEEN ALL DAY I’m so happy for Harry sticking up for himself.” And we couldn’t agree more! We love Harry’s
style and we’re totally here for him standing up for himself! But Candace re-entered the chat and shared Harry’s post writing “When people try to tell me I don’t have influence, and then @Harry_Styles dedicates an entire post to my tweet. I inspire global conversation.
#BringBackManlyMen Shots fired.” So clearly she’s just not gonna let this one go, even though Harry has said he has no regrets about his
outfit choices.
