Halo Infinite Was Once More Like Breath of the Wild, Had Lots of Content Cut
Before Halo Infinite was revealed at E3 2021, a lot of thought went into what it would be like. The game was initially being developed as a co-production between 343 Industries, Avalanche Studios and Sumo Digital, with an art style that was much more stylized and detailed than the one seen in the E3 2021 reveal trailer. This was revealed by 343 Industries’ Jeff Easterling in an interview with Game Informer . He said that the game was in pre-production for about two years and the development team had “a lot more time and a lot more flexibility to play and to try things, and we tried a lot of different things. At some point, we had a plan for something that was like a lot more open-world and more like a Breath of the Wild kind of feel to it.”
The story of Halo Infinite was once much more like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, according to a new report from outlets, who attended a recent Microsoft event where directors and developers from 343 Industries, the game’s developer, spoke about the upcoming game.
