Halo Infinite Campaign Won’t Let Players Replay Story Missions at Launch

Halo Infinite is the next game in the Halo series, so fans are understandably excited. Unfortunately, Halo Infinite will not allow players to replay story missions when it is first released. Instead, one player will be selected to be the “replay director” who can replay the mission. This will allow the director to see everything that is happening in the mission, such as seeing the enemies that the players are dealing with. This is a new feature that is being added to the game.
Although Halo Infinite’s campaign won’t let players go back and replay story missions when it launches, 343 Industries has a good reason for this. Speaking with Kinda Funny Games, 343 Industries’ Studio Head Chris Lee explained why the campaign won’t feature re-playable story missions.
“We’ve always seen the campaign as a narrative experience,” Lee told Kinda Funny Games. “We don’t really want to break that up into little bits. And so that’s always how we’ve approached campaign. And I think that that’s been a hallmark of Halo, is it’s always been a big campaign and a big story that you’re going to go through.”
