Genshin Impact Leak Reveals New Method Of Obtaining Standard Banner Items

The impact of the Genshin Impact leak continues to be felt. No sooner had the news broken that there was a new method of obtaining standard banner items, then people began experimenting with getting them to drop. It turns out that you can get a standard banner item from the Genshin Impact if you kill the boss with a standard banner item equipped and switched on (this is assuming you’re not already carrying a standard banner item, in which case the Genshin Impact can drop more than one standard banner item).

This afternoon, the official Final Fantasy XI forums were bombarded by a new wave of posts from players concerned that the game’s latest version, version 2.51, had stripped away the ability to obtain standard/repeatable items from the game’s most notorious monsters, the notorious monsters (NMs). These items were obtained by defeating the NMs in a specific way and then speaking with the attendant NPC, only to have the items disappear if the player did not speak to the NPC within a short window of time. The items in question include a variety of powerful weapons, armor, and even the NQ for the game’s most powerful armor, the relic weapon, the Ultima Weapon, among others.
