Ed Sheeran’s touring income plummets from over £70million to £591 during lockdown
Ed Sheeran has been touring for the past two years, and with each performance he makes a huge sum of money. However, for the past year, Ed has been taking his time off to work on his new album, and as a result, his income from touring has dropped from over £70million to £591. The singer-songwriter has been touring the world since 2015, and it has brought him a lot of money. From March 2015 to March 2016, he made £70.8million. In 2017, he made £5.9million.
Ed Sheeran’s touring income fell by almost £70million to £591,000 in the year he took a break from music to have a baby, it has been reported. In 2015, the star became the first artist to have the number one album in UK charts in six consecutive years with his release X, but he is now facing an estimated tax bill of £6million as a result of the drop in his touring income.
