Deonna Purrazzo Recalls WWE Denying A Pitch For Her To Tag With Chelsea Green

According to a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, former NXT star Deonna Purrazzo revealed that WWE denied a pitch for her to tag with Chelsea Green. Purrazzo said that she wanted to form a tag team with Chelsea Green, but WWE shot down the idea. “I remember pitching it to the office and they said it wasn’t a good idea,” Purrazzo said. “So I was like, ‘well, if that’s the case, I’m going to go out there and make people love us.’ I think it made us become better wrestlers. We were told we couldn’t have that as a story line, so we were like, ‘OK, we’ll just make them love us in the ring.'”
