Concerns over attack on US Congress building, request for extension of deployment of National Guards

The House of Representatives meeting was also adjourned yesterday due to security concerns. Security agencies issued an intelligence warning about the attack on Capitol Hill. Capitol police said they had received intelligence about a possible plot to attack Capitol Hill. The intelligence report said that a “known” militant group could attack the Congress building. Security arrangements have already been made. Barriers were set up at sensitive places and the number of security personnel was increased.
