Comedian Bharti Singh was arrested

Leading comedian Bharti Singh and her husband Harsh Lambachia have been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau of India (NCB) in an investigation into alleged drug use in Bollywood.

An investigating officer said Bharti Singh and her husband had been detained for questioning over drug possession, while another NCB officer said a drug dealer had also mentioned Bharti’s name during the investigation. They have been caught.

It may be recalled that after the death of Indian actor Shashant Singh Rajput in June, the scope of investigation against drug use in Bollywood was widened.

A month ago, actor Arjun Rampal’s house was also searched and he was summoned for questioning along with his girlfriend Gabriela Demetria Dis.

Last week, Rampal was interrogated for six hours while his girlfriend was interrogated for 12 hours.
