Circular Railway: When will the first train run? Date announced
Karachi: Arrangements for the circular railway are still incomplete. Under this project, the first train will now run on November 19 instead of November 16.
According to ARY News, Karachi Circular Railway (KCR) will now start from November 19 instead of November 16. Under the plan, the first train will leave Pipri Marshalling Yard on November 19 at 7 am.
Sources said that the 14 km track from City Station to Orangi Town has not been fully restored. The stations are still deprived of basic facilities. Tickets will also be available from inside the train through a ticket checker.
Railway sources said that no gates are being installed in the track routes, road crossings have become a complex problem in Gulbai and many other places, traffic will have to be temporarily stopped by ropes or chains at the crossing points.
Meanwhile, the first train will travel from Pipri to Orangi in 2 hours and 50 minutes. The train will reach Orangi via Airport Karachi City Wazir Mansion, while there will be 21 stops from Pipri to Orangi. The train will stop at one stop at each stop. ۔ Initially, the circular train will run up and down four times a day. The bogies of the circular train will leave Islamabad Rawalpindi for Karachi today.
On the other hand, it is a matter of concern that most of the level crossings from City Station to Orangi Town do not have gates. At Gulbai Chowk, the train will cross 200 meters without a gate.
