Ben Shephard becomes ‘filling’ in ‘GMB Christmas sandwich’ between Kate Garraway and Susanna Reid
Ben Shephard is the meat in a ‘Christmas sandwich’ of GMB presenters as he was joined by Kate Garraway and Susanna Reid for the first time in their new roles on the Good Morning Britain sofa. The new-look show started with Shephard, who has been a mainstay of the show since 2010, being squeezed into the middle of the sofa and surrounded by the two new female presenters.
Susanna Reid and Kate Garraway were the stars of the show as they were joined by Ben Shephard on GMB on Saturday. The Good Morning Britain favourites hit the studio for the Christmas Special, which saw the usual line-up of hosts replaced by just three. Kate and Susanna were dressed to impress in sequinned frocks as they sat in between Ben and showbiz correspondent Richard Arnold.
Ben Shephard has been labelled the ‘filling’ in a GMB ‘Christmas sandwich’ after he was given a makeover and joined by presenters Susanna Reid and Kate Garraway. The breakfast show hosts teamed up to present GMB on a Saturday – which Shephard hosts solo on Fridays – for the first time in a Christmas special.
He may be the main man on Good Morning Britain, but it seems Ben Shepard is no longer the star of the show. Ben was ‘sandwiched’ between Kate Garraway and Susanna Reid as the ladies took over presenting duties on the ITV breakfast show on Christmas Day. And it seemed the GMB host was a little bit flustered about his new position, telling viewers: ‘I am the filling in the middle of a GMB Christmas sandwich.’
