Belgian Tennis star David Goffin to miss rest of 2021 season due to injury

David Goffin, a Belgian tennis star and one of the rising stars in men’s singles, has been forced to miss most of next year after suffering an injury. The 26-year old was diagnosed with inflammation around his left knee as he nears completion on both ATP Tour commitments for this season before undergoing surgery later this month.

David Goffin is a Belgian tennis player who recently began gaining recognition by breaking into the top ten rankings amongst male players at just 23 years old during 2016 having won several titles including four Masters 1000 tournaments and reaching two Grand Slam semi finals. The world number 12 was initially diagnosed with a pelvic fracture, but later it became clear that Goffin had sustained an avulsion fracture in his right ankle as well.
