Army Chief and Bill Gates reiterate their commitment to work together to eradicate polio from Pakistan
Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Chairman Bill & Melinda Gates have reiterated their commitment to work together to eradicate polio from Pakistan and improve health facilities.
According to DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar, a telephone conversation took place between Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Chairman Bill & Melinda Gates. Done
He said that Bill Gates appreciated the cooperation of Pakistan Army in making the polio campaign effective through local leaders and influential personalities.
According to the Pakistan Army spokesman, the Army Chief said on the occasion that the anti-polio campaign is a national duty and a national effort, the polio campaign will be considered successful when no child in Pakistan will be affected.
The army chief said the success of the polio campaign was due to grassroots workers, mobile teams, law enforcement agencies and medical personnel.
According to DG ISPR, the two also discussed issues related to effective anti-polio campaign during Corona. Bill Gates appreciated Pakistan’s efforts to prevent corona and ensure safe polio campaign despite the epidemic. Appreciated the steps taken.
