Army aviation helicopter crashes, 4 soldiers including 2 majors martyred
According to a Pakistan Army spokesman, an Army Aviation helicopter crashed, killing four soldiers, including two majors.
According to a statement issued by ISPR, the helicopter crashed due to a technical fault in Mani Marg area of Gilgit-Baltistan.
According to ISPR, four youths including pilot Major Muhammad Hussain were martyred in the helicopter crash.
Co-pilot Major Ayaz Hussain, Naik Inzamam Alam and soldier Muhammad Farooq were also martyred in the accident.
According to ISPR, the helicopter was carrying the body of martyred soldier Abdul Qadir to CMH Skardu. Soldier Qadeer was martyred in an avalanche in Kamri sector.
Major Ayaz, who was martyred in the helicopter crash, belongs to Malir area of Karachi while Major Hussain Shaheed was a resident of Khaplo area of Skardu.
Besides, Naik Inzamam belonged to Chakwal and soldier Farooq Shaheed was a resident of Sahiwal.
