The former Saturdays singer and Saturdays star has been crowned winner of the Strictly Christmas special. After weeks of dazzling the judges with her ballroom moves and wowing the audience with her Latin American dances, Anne-Marie was crowned the winner of the Strictly Christmas special. The singer, who is currently enjoying a solo career after leaving the Saturdays, beat her final dance partner Kevin Clifton to be crowned champion.
Anne-Marie beat Faye Tozer and Brendan Cole to be crowned the winner of the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special. The Scottish singer, who joined the BBC ballroom competition in the autumn, scored 34 points for her final performance of the series. The final followed on from the show’s traditional Christmas Day edition, with the judges handing out their scores for each of the Strictly contestants for their final performances of the year. Debbie McGee and Aljaž Skorjanec were crowned the winners of the 2017 series.
The Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special was declared a resounding success on Saturday night as the final result was announced. And fans of the show were not disappointed. Irish dancing sensation Anne-Marie Flynn capped a wonderful year by winning the coveted glitterball trophy. The RTE star dethroned favourite Holby City actress Tina Hobley in the head-to-head final.
