A speeding uncontrolled vehicle collided with the outer door of Masjid-ul-Haram

Makkah: A Saudi citizen rammed a speeding car into the outer door of the Grand Mosque.

According to Saudi media, the incident took place on Friday night, the video of which is circulating on social media, but no casualties were reported in the incident.

In the video released on social media, it can be seen that the speeding vehicle broke through the plastic barriers and hit the outer door of the mosque.

The driver of the speeding car is said to be a Saudi national who has been arrested.

A spokesman for the Mecca region said the driver was mentally unstable and had been handed over to the public prosecution for questioning.

The vehicle was removed from the scene by security officials after the incident.
