Last night the president tweeted out some fake videos one of which was labeled manipulated media by twitter uh why is the president sharing fake videos on twitter about two toddlers uh who are obviously showing a lot of love for one another it seems as though he’s exploiting children to make some sort of crass political point why is he sharing fake videos he was making a point about cnn specifically he was making a point uh that cnn has regularly taken him out of context that in 2019 cnn misleadingly aired a clip from one viewpoint repeatedly to falsely accuse the covington boys of being quote

students in maga gear harassing a native american elder um that’s a harassing video a misleading video about children that had really grave consequences for their future so two so you’re saying it’s okay to exploit two toddlers hugging one another on a sidewalk to make some sort of political point uh you i mean as you know the president has described the members of the press as fake news uh during the course of this administration when you share fake videos like that doesn’t that make you fake news i think the president was making a satirical point that was quite funny if you go and

actually watch the video i think he was making two topics he was making it here the point is uh it was a play on cnn repeatedly taking the president out of context like the time when you guys had a chiron that read trump slammed some illegal immigrants their animals well guess what the people he called animals were ms-13 illegal immigrants who regularly mutilate people in this country those things are entirely misleading pointing out the president has referred to some mexican immigrants as rapists he has tried to pass a muslim ban in this country he has described black nfl players

as sons of if they take a neither in football that’s an absurd attempt to justify the misleading headlines that are regularly on your network like i was just walking in watching cnn as they lauded the quote rallies in the streets are you saying the president gotta let me finish jim this isn’t a cable news segment i’m answering your question right now from the white house podium the media has never called it the kung flu calling the chinese creditors and calling it the kung fu are very different media the media and your network specifically the media and your network specifically have repeatedly used the term china virus and wuhan virus and then gone on to deride the president as somehow uh using a term that they had

themselves have never used so we can go through cnn’s history i’d be more than happy to go through cnn’s history on february 9th you guys talked about the wuhan coronavirus on january 23rd you guys talked about the wuhan coronavirus on january 22nd the wujon virus i can write it all out for you i’m calling it the detail in an email okay um there’s a national conversation going on right now about the proper place of symbols of the confederacy statues memorials names and the president has repeatedly inserted himself into this debate and i think a lot of people are trying to understand what his view of uh memorializing the confederacy is in the proper place of the confederate flag so a couple questions one does he

believe does president trump believe that it was a good thing that the south lost the civil war and then two is he interested in following nascar’s example and banning the confederate flag at his own events well your first question is absolutely absurd he’s proud of the united states of america um second with regard to our statues americans opposed tearing down our statues there is a harvard harris poll released just last week that shows 60 percent of respondents said the statues should remain and 71 percent said local governments should block groups from physically destroying the statues so he

stands on the side of preserving our history today the president encouraged americans not to buy goodyear tires suggesting that they had a ban on mega hacks but it appears that their policy is just a ban on political speech it’s pretty common for most companies so why is the president retaliating against a private company for their dress code and potentially jeopardizing American jobs so Goodyear needs to come out and clarify their policy there was an image they failed to clear yes i did see their statements which still fair failed to clarify their policy what happened is there was an image that was put out that showed that certain speech was acceptable black lives matter insignia for instance but what

was not allowed was blue lives matter what was not allowed was Maga hats um what was clearly targeted was a certain ideology they have not denied that that image was presented at one of their facilities and they need to come out racial equality racial justice that is okay but not political speech that’s pretty standard across the board right now that’s not that unusual did the president even reach out to Goodyear before they came out and said equity issues as far as I’m concerned blue lives matter is an equity issue there have been police officers across this country that have been targeted because

they wear the badge look no further than Dallas where five police officers died so black lives matter an organization who’s in their dc branch said black lives matter means defund the police one of their presidents in new york said we will burn down the system we all remember in 2015 the yelling of pigs in a blanket fry them like bacon at a black lives matter rally

that speech is allowed but blue lives matter is not allowed and i will stand at this podium and say blue lives matter is an equity issue and Goodyear needs to come out and acknowledge and he made a comment i believe on fox in which he said president trump will not allow the coronavirus to come to this country given what has happened since then obviously would you like to take that back well first let me note i was asked a question um on fox business about president’s travel restrictions i noted what was the intent behind those travel restrictions which is we will not see the coronavirus come

here we will not see terrorism come here referring to an earlier set of travel restrictions i guess i would turn the question back on the media and ask similar questions does vox want to take back that they proclaim that the coronavirus would not be a deadly pandemic does the washington post want to take back that they told americans to get a grip the flu is bigger than the coronavirus does the washington post likewise want to take back that our brains are causing us to exaggerate the threat of the coronavirus does the new york times want to take back that fear of the virus may be spreading

faster than the virus itself does npr want to take back that the flu was a much bigger threat than the coronavirus and finally once again the washington post would they like to take back that the government should not respond aggressively to the coronavirus i’ll leave you with those questions and maybe you’ll have some answers in a few days you were prepared for that you
